Dads Matter
Dads Matter is a program that has monthly group parenting classes available for expectant fathers and fathers of children from newborn to two years old. Fathers who attend the classes enjoy a free home cooked meal together and earn “Baby Bucks” that can be spent at our Joyful Beginnings store.

Purpose Statement
The Dads Matter program of Central Michigan Pregnancy Services provides emotional, spiritual and physical support and education for fathers who have chosen to parent their child(ren).

You will receive:
- Fun and informative lessons on topics relating to parenting and many other subjects
- Emotional support through “men only” meetings with Parenting Instructors on a monthly basis throughout the year
- Opportunities to earn Baby Bucks for coming to classes, completing homework, and attending select community programs that better you or you child
Food - we will provide a home cooked meal to those who attend the Dads Matter class
- Access to Joyful Beginnings (our baby pantry) where you can have a pleasant experience shopping, spending, and budgeting the Baby Bucks you have earned (No cash is accepted)
- Material items available at Joyful Beginnings include:
baby furniture, clothing, formula/baby food, blankets, diapers, and baby wipes

If you are interested in the Dads Matter parenting program download the application, and mail or deliver it to CMPS. RSVPs for each class are required by 5:00 pm the day before. For any questions or directions to class locations please call, (989) 773-6008.
