If you think you may be pregnant you are welcome to call CMPS and make an appointment to speak with a peer counselor and perform a self-administered pregnancy test. The appointments are usually 45 minutes to 1 hour and we understand the value of your time. The staff and volunteers at CMPS believe the right to choose means the right to know. We have information on:
· Pregnancy
· Adoption
· Abortion (We do not perform or refer for abortions)
Central Michigan Pregnancy Services uses Precious Feet Pregnancy Tests. This urine test is designed to determine the presence of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) produced by a developing placenta. The manufacturer states that this test is 97-99% accurate. However, as with all diagnostic tests, a definitive clinical diagnosis should not be based on the results of a single test, but should only be made by a licensed medical practitioner.
Pregnancy test results may be faxed upon your written request to your physician or WIC as proof of a positive test.
